Business confidence in Wales rose five points during January to 13 per cent on the back of growing optimism over firms’ business prospects, according to the latest Business Barometer from Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking. Companies in Wales report higher confidence in their business prospects at 14 per cent and higher economic optimism at 12 per cent. This gives an overall confidence of 13 per cent. Special flights put in for Welsh Fans attending Euro 2020 match ⚽️ ✈️ 🇮🇹 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Vueling Airlines, part of International Airlines Group (IAG), has announced special flights from Cardiff to Rome-Fiumicino, so fans will be able to fly from their national airport to support the Wales football team at the UEFA EURO 2020 match against Italy, which kicks off at Rome’s Olympic Stadium on 21st June. The airline has released an outbound flight from Cardiff Airport to Rome-Fiumicino Airport, departing at 13:05 on 20th June and returning at 14:30 on 22nd June. Ferry operators have warned of expected disruption this weekend due to storm Ciara, meaning Wales fans heading back from the Dublin for the weekend’s Six Nations clash could face problems getting home. Train services face being severely disrupted over the weekend as rain and gales hit Wales.  Storm Ciara will bring gusts of up to 75mph (121k/ph) on Saturday – with rain and gales on Sunday as Storm Ciara hits. The Met Office has extended its yellow warning for wind on Saturday to cover most counties in north Wales and parts of Ceredigion and Powys.
