What is #PositiveCoronavirusNews and why was it created?
#PositiveCoronavirusNews is fairly self explanatory on the surface – it’s the sharing of Positive Coronavirus News, but what is it if you were to delve a bit deeper.
Well the Positive Coronavirus hashtag ( #PositiveCoronavirusNews ) is a movement started by Welsh, UK & Global Entrepreneur Mike Armstrong / #MikeArmstrong.
The movement is supposed to be a two finger salute to the established media who constantly Pedlar their negativity and force feed it on to the human race.
The main stream media is far too negative at the best of times but give billions of outlets 24 hours a day or coverage and a global pandemic crisis and they wheels of Corporate Media will start turning and the outcome is a constant churning or doom and gloom and apocalyptic nonsense.
Yes there’s a bad crisis, and yes people are dying but people do die everyday from all sorts of things and although this is bad news, it’s not the only thing that is going on in the world.
The problem with the global media , as I see it, and their negativity is one of simple economics and access.
The thing is bad news sells. People are obsessed with it and so whilst boards and shareholders are in charge of their editorial output it will always be that way.
I believe negativity is as bad as drugs and hate and should be controlled in the same way.
Newspaper & Media Companies should be forced a quota and made to show balance and impartiality like they are when it comes to politics.
There should be at least as much time and space given to Positive News as there are to negative news and this, I believe would be impactful to the Nation’s / Global Mental Health wellbeing.
As I am aware of this fact that this constant negative press and media is not beneficial to my own health and mental wellbeing I choose to edit and quota my own level of content and advise others to do the same.
Please help me / is to fight back by not sharing negative news, and sharing wherever you can any thing positive that you have going on or are made aware of, under the hashtags #PositiveCoronavirusNews and #PositiveNews .
