The Prince of Wales will meet flood victims during a visit to south Wales later. Storm Dennis hit more than 1,000 homes and businesses in Rhondda Cynon Taff alone after heavy rain last week. Prince Charles will visit Pontypridd town centre, parts of which were left under water after days of rain. As the clean-up continues, more warnings for heavy rain have been issued, starting on Friday, in parts of mid and north Wales. A Met Office yellow weather warning – meaning flooding could occur – for persistent heavy rain, is in place from 12:00 GMT on Friday until 03:00 GMT on Saturday. The WRU have drawn up an action plan to support rugby clubs around Wales affected by Storm Dennis, setting the ball rolling with a £100,000 fighting fund. A number of clubs were seriously affected by flooding caused by the storm, including the likes of Bedwas, Blackwood, Cross Keys, Rumney and Newport HSOB.
